About the Blue Zone

Costa Rica has the biggest Blue Zone of the World
The concept of blue zones was born from the demographic studies done by Gianni Pes, Michel Poulain, and Dan Buettner, which identified five areas with a longevity above average.
Sardinia, in Italy (where our own Cristina Guerrini comes from!) was the first area identified with the highest concentration of male centenarians in 2004. Further studies pinpointed four additional locations: Okinawa (Japan), Nicoya (Costa Rica), Icaria (Greece), and Loma Linda (California, United States).
The Canton of Nicoya is an 80-mile peninsula in the Guanacaste Region. Nicoya is surrounded by the amazing Guanacaste landscape and some of the most amazing beaches of Costa Rica, including those that are part of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge of Nosara (Guiones, Pelada, and Ostional) and the famous Barrigona Beach. And… Nicoya with its Pura Vida lifestyle is the biggest Blue Zone of the world!
One of our offices is located in between Nosara and Samara, right in the middle of the Blue Zone. Follow us in our journey working in the Blue Zone and helping our Clients´ building their new lives in this long term paradise on earth.
